Cantina Di Sorbara Lambrusco NV, Italy 8.99
This sparkling red Lambrusco comes from Cantina di Sorbara in Emilia-Romagna. It is incredibly friendly, with vibrant bubbles and ripe blackberry fruits on the palate. Drink this with a slight chill and enjoy it with anything from risotto to pizza.
Charmeroy Brut NV, France 10.99
Light bodied, good structure, tropical fruits and citric fruits, nice mousse and good length. Foodmatch: Aperitif or light dishes of seafood, salads.
Angeline Sauvignon Blanc 2010 RRV, CA 13.99
A nice bright nose of ripe lemon and grapefruit. A juicy mid-palate with a clean acidity and notes of pineapple in the corners. Finishes dry but with an echo of honeyed lime. A very complex wine at a very affordable price, a stunner to be sure. Great stuff. Food Pairings: Mango shrimp or lightly spiced halibut with lemon.
Zuccardi Torrontes 2009 Salta, Argentina 14.99
Intense yellow greenish color. Delicate and unique nose, full of white flowers such as roses and citrus blossom. Also notes of mature white fruits and citrus zest. Well structured with lively acidity but the wine is centered around the aromatic intensity and delicate finish. This wine is great as aperitif and a perfect match to Asian food, fish dishes and with fresh salads.
Kunde Estate Merlot 2006 Sonoma CA 18.99
The 2006 harvest brought a very even, steady flow of Merlot grapes into the winery at Kunde Family Estate. The measured pace of the harvest allowed us to avoid any hurried picks and truly cherry-pick each block when the fruit was fully ripe. Our 2006 Merlot is supple and balanced, opening up nicely to reveal complexity and depth in its layers of flavors. The wine shows the classic varietal aromas of tea leaf with ripe plums, black cherries, and toasty oak. We recommend serving it with a garlicky lamb roast or a creamy polenta filled with wild mushrooms. You’ll find other great flavors to match with our 2006 Merlot.
Sivas Pinot Noir 2010 Sonoma CA 21.00
A bright red-purple color, our inaugural Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir opens with wild strawberry and raspberry aromas, complemented by background notes of violet, clove, vanilla, and molasses. Classic earthy, underbrush character unfolds on the palate, along with pomegranate and raspberry fruit. The fleshy, full-bodied mouthfeel adds depth to the fruit flavors, while a touch of tart acidity keeps the wine fresh and vibrant. Moderate tannins lead into a lingering finish with cranberry and cinnamon nuances.
